ELVIRA RAWSON DE DELLEPIANE

Elvira Rawson de Dellepiane was the second Argentine female to graduate with a degree in medicine. She was president for The Society of Charities and it was largely due to her work that The Rights of Women group was founded. She went on to found the first Colony for Weak Children and ensured the first establishment of school cafeterias. She displayed an enormous courage and bravery in attending wounded and victims on both sides of the conflict of the 1890 revolution.
